As a parent everything you do is for your children. My mornings are about the time I get to spend with My Son and Daughter, my nights filled with them, even in the middle of the night I check on them probably more times than I need to. For the last five years I spend time thinking about who they will be when they grow up. Sometimes they will bring me flowers or show me the marble bridge that they built and I just pray I see enough years to understand the magnificent Individuals they will become.
Shelan called me and said his moms birthday was coming up. That he didn’t have any pictures with her in a while and wanted to give her something to remember.
These are sittings that mean something to me. Portraiture is so much more than a picture. It is a story, someone else’s story. To tell someones story forever is a blessings and gift. This sitting was about a mothers gift and the gift a mother is. It is a story about the strength of family and how fortunate we are to continue to have time to celebrate each other.
